How to spot adulterated turmeric at home
11 June 2026 · 3 min read
Add a teaspoon of turmeric to a glass of warm water and leave it undisturbed. Pure turmeric settles into a deep yellow layer and the water stays lightly tinted. Adulterated turmeric leaves streaks of bright, almost neon colour that bleed downward.
For chalk, add a few drops of lemon juice. Fizzing means added chalk powder. Pure haldi will not effervesce.
Every AshaPure batch is tested for metanil yellow, lead chromate and starch before it is packed, and the batch number on your jar traces back to that report.
